Mapping Trans Joy Zines

Since the very beginning of the project we’ve been using zines as a way to promote trans joy and to showcase the wonderful stories people share with us.

We make all our zines freely available under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. This means that you are (1) free to share these zines, and (2) use them to make your own things, but (3) please give attribution and (4) the things you make should also be shared under the same terms.

On the Road with MTJ - Issue 1

In 2024, thanks to the Re:Generation Project from Monument Lab, we received funding to do in-person events. To supplement the online work of the project, the funding allows us to travel the US South doing various types of public art and community involvement and to continue collecting stories of joy.

This zine is about our first year doing these events. We did events in Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, and West Virginia. This is documentation of the work we’ve done and some of the amazing orgs we worked with. We hope you like it!
